Classifieds, events, photo and video website for CowHorse
A while back we built a custom classifieds, events and media publishing website for Cowhorse.
After a recent facelift, we decided we should probably show it off to all of you and demonstrate we do a little more than just real estate websites.
Built with a custom Ruby on Rails content management system, we developed Cowhorse.com.au as a one stop shop for buying, selling and breeding horses, as well as those interested in the cowhorse industry and events in general.
As a classifieds site it really is quite powerful. Generating massive amounts of traffic, Cowhorse.com.au allows visitors to place their own horse classified listings in a vast selection of categories that are managed by the client – including general horse equipment, DVDs, real estate, vehicles, working dogs and breeding related listings.
Of course, horses can also be advertised and are placed in Stock Horse, Coloured Horse and Quarter Horse classified categories. iProperty built in e-commerce integration so that paid classifieds listings are handled through a payment gateway.
Cowhorse also has industry partners that allow them to present high quality photographs and video broadcasts for the major Cowhorse events across Australia. In seperate, categorised sections, the Videos and Events Photos are a major hit on the Cowhorse.com.au site. Of course, the website also lists the upcoming events in the Calender area as well as major, industry related news.
The director of Cowhorse.com.au also wanted an increased focus on Community interaction. iProperty built the Cowhorse Community pages. With a steadily growing membership base (150+) it includes Blogs, a Forum, and individual pages for Members with a summary of the photos, videos and comments they’ve shared with others on the site.

Helping to Maintain Data Accuracy
By locking down old information this recent update helps you keep accurate records of your past sales and rental listings.

iDashboard – appraisal duplication feature makes life easy!

If you have multiple apartments or townhouses that are very similar listings – you can now do mass duplications of an appraisal.
This is great if you are listing a large number of apartments or units in a single building, and means you don’t have to re-enter the same information and photos over and over again.
Simply create your appraisal with your advertisement and images, then use the new copy function. The “Copy as a New Listing” function is found in the top right hand menu next to the Map icon, and is only available on properties still marked as “Appraisal” status. This new function also allows you to specify the Unit/Lot number for each individual copy, making the duplication process even faster.

Integrating social media with our real estate solutions
With more real estate agents becoming savvy with the benefits of social media, iProperty has upgraded its offerings so that they’re integrated with popular social sites such as Facebook and Twitter.
First of all, we’ve setup all of our real estate websites with the ability to feed property listings anywhere that accepts an RSS feed. For most of you, at least for now, that will mean we feed your properties to a Facebook page for your real estate agency. Amongst all of your other news, photos and updates, your fan base can now see your new real estate listings as soon as they’ve been published to your site. Contact us if you like us to do this.
We’ve also added some new features to iDashboard.
In the Real Estate tab, all published listings now have a Facebook Like button and Tweet button. You can instantly see how many people like a property and gauge its popularity.
When you press Like or Tweet, a popup box appears prompting you to login to either service. From there it’s automated, and if you’re already logged in it’s even more easy to use.
Some of our clients are seeing the importance of adding a blog to their marketing mix. We view running a blog as an essential part of promoting your services and gaining visibility online.
We provide easily managed blogs that allow agents to talk about the industry as they see it, their community and anything else that is relevant to their clients and business partners. Our blogs are completely integrated with our real estate software, iDashboard, allowing Agent bios, images, and properties to be fed straight into them.
Undo Contact Import

After requests from our offices, iDashboard can now undo contact imports. This makes editing and updating your contact lists easy and hassle-free!
Administrators can export and re-import contacts as the databases increase and changes can be made to whole contact groups! When importing large numbers of contacts, there is no need to worry about an error as the import can simply be undone.
This update applies to new imports only!
To use this feature, select your latest import and click undo.
