When you can portray your company in a story mode it automatically attaches a much more personal aspect to it.

What you say empowers the listener

If you have an audience that is willing to listen to what you have to say about your company then you have the golden opportunity to present it in such a way that it is interesting. You can try and sell your listener on your company and hope your sales techniques are superb. Or you can take a much easier approach and tell the story of what your company stands for, what its credibility is, and why people should want to do business with it.

Your company story keeps you in your listeners memory

A well told story about your company creates a memory without the listener even having to have a first hand experience with it. Your branding story has to be one that’s personalised and interesting enough not only to hold the listener’s attention now, but be able to recall it as a memory.

Composing the company story

You need to develop your brand position. You do this by answering a series of questions. You need to know what you stand for and what impact does that have on your employees. What is the tone of voice that the Company portrays and are the company beliefs put into action? What is being done to create a good client experience as a result of the efforts of your agency?

Be the real thing

You need to be able to meet the needs of the client and your branding story has to reiterate that. Adding a personality to the agent through the story is important.

A narrative flow

Just like any good story it has to have a beginning, a middle, and a conclusion all of which is interesting enough to take the listener through from beginning to end.

Different presentations

Most often you need to tell your story to the same client several times. This means you have to come up with some unique ways to say the same thing in a story telling format that sounds different but carries the same meaning.

Personalise it

If you are able to personalise your real estate brand then it will come across as a one of a kind, which is exactly what you want to do. You have competition and you need your story to depict why you are different and the one of choice. As an agent you have a great opportunity to comprise a story that is going to be interesting, memorable and different. This is what is going to make you stand out in the industry.

Brand story telling is going to become a very important resource that you can utilise as an agent, and will take you from making a standard sales pitch, to an individual that has something important to say which in turn will be something important to offer.
