Make the most of Facebook Live to get the best results

There’s no question about the amazing benefits of Facebook Live broadcasts for your real estate business. Studies have shown that the social media tool has done so much for those who have taken advantage of it in terms of the comments, views, shares, likes, and engagement.

However, engagement does not work equally across all audience types and in fact it can be effective for one and quite the opposite for another.

How to get started on Live

There are several options to choose where you want to launch your Live broadcast such as your Facebook Page, through your personal profile, or your Facebook Group.

Launching from your personal profile page would be greatly beneficial if you have an extensive list of friends within your personal network. This is a good way to start and does provide your audience with a high level of confidence and trust since these are people that you know and those who know you.

Broadcasting through your Facebook Page lets you reach out to a wider audience since your page is set to show to the public, so whenever someone likes your post or leaves a comment, it shows up in their news feeds thereby giving you more mileage for your broadcast.

Through Facebook Groups, you will be able to reach a targeted audience in niche topics through a like-minded community. If you want to focus on real estate groups, you can join it and be able to initiate your Live broadcasts to your targeted groups.

Plan and execute

In order to get the most out of your Facebook Live broadcasts always make sure to plan your strategy and execute accordingly.

Invite and advertise

Do not go ahead and launch a broadcast without planning your topics, presentation flow, and materials prepared beforehand. Make sure to plan ahead then send an invite and a quick teaser to spur interest from audiences.

Set a date and make sure to send out reminders so that people will be able to prepare themselves for the broadcast.

Catchy headline

Think of an interesting and catchy headline with numbers on it. Studies have shown that headlines with numbers meant to provide information such as tips, statistics, or value that is expected to generate no less than 73% of engagement and social shares.

Also use power words to attract people such as amazing, free, hack, best, etc.

Check your equipment

Since Facebook Live is done through your smartphone, ensure that it is fully charged or your camera settings are properly configured for optimum performance.

Make sure to also have a stable and reliable internet connection because it could be embarrassing to see your videos lag behind, get cut-off midway, or the restaurant calling you during a broadcast to confirm your dinner reservation.

Plan your talking points

An impromptu broadcast may not be a bad idea, however, you could end up getting stumped on things to say or result in a lot of silent gaps which may not be good for your Live episode. You do not need to have a verbatim script, rather an outline of your talking points can help you get focused and helps you stay on track of your topics for the broadcast.

It is always best to plan ahead and it can guarantee you better results than simply winging its end you can end up off-topic or worse, end up with a lot of blunders and bloopers.

Follow-through

There’s always the likelihood of questions asked by viewers that remain unanswered during the broadcast, so make sure to go through the comments thread and make an effort to answer all of the remaining questions after the Live episode.

This will create a very good impression on your audience and make them feel valued.

Edit and repost

After the Live stream, you can have the video recording edited for brevity and remove other unwanted scenes so you can have it reposted on your website or future social media posts so those who were not able to participate in the live stream can see the video.

You can also have your Live videos downloaded and compiled in an album for future use. Your videos can also be used as additional content for your blogs or share it in your community groups or develop it as learning materials.
