Recently we updated our own blog with a great WordPress plugin called WP Touch. It automatically detects whether your blog is being viewed on a Smartphone, such as a Blackberry or iPhone. What it then does is it displays your blog as a very smart looking, highly usable and phone-friendly site that almost appears as though it’s an application.
When you view it, some features of your blog may disappear, such as any complex sidemenus, FlickR and YouTube feeds. However the majority of people viewing your blog on a mobile will really only be seeking your freshest blog posts anyway. At the bottom of each post, you’re provided with such functionality as emailing it, tweeting it or bookmarking it. So simple, and effective – we love it.
After using it for a while, we realised it was too good not to share out. We immediately updated several independant clients, as well as all of those at the Professionals Group who have blogs created by iProperty. We’d love to hear your feeedback guys – hope you like it!
