COVID19 Hits Real Estate

Coronavirus: Restrictions hit real estate

Real estate auctions and open home inspections will cease from midnight Wednesday March 25 under a tough new crackdown from the national cabinet to combat the spread of coronavirus (COVID19).

Gathering at auctions, whether they be in auction rooms or on-site, and open home inspections could no longer continue, said Prime Minister Scott Morrison, as he unveiled an updated list of large gatherings that will be prohibited in a bid to slow transmission of the deadly disease.

Real estate offices using iDashboard alone have over 2,800+ open homes scheduled for the future, with just over 1,000 scheduled between Thursday 26th and Sunday 29th March.

How do I change an auction in iDashboard?

Auctions require a date and time, otherwise portals like Realestate.com.au will reject the listing, so unfortunately you can’t simply remove the auction date and time. Your best option is to change the sale method from Auction to Exclusive Sale or Open Sale. A custom price display of “Forthcoming Auction” can be added to the property, even when the Exclusive or Open sale method is used.

How do I delete or reschedule an open home in iDashboard?

As long as an open home is in the future and has no visitors you can delete it from your listing. Check out our online help centre here for full instructions.
